"This may be your chance!" to travel internationally as a caretaker or housesitter.

This may be your chance!

From The Caretaker Gazette

Ever felt like visiting Scotland?

Then this may be your chance to get your stay there for free.

Calton Hill

Visiting Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland, and one of the most beautiful cities in Europe, go golfing at Mortonhall, visit the Ratho arena for a climbing afternoon ... there is plenty to do out there.

The city Edinburgh was built upon a jumble of hills and valleys, although during the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries the natural geography was enhanced by the works of a succession of distinguished Georgian and Victorian architects.

The view from Edinburgh's Calton Hill, across the River Forth to Fife, looks like a scene from ancient Rome.

You need to care for and take care of a couple of dogs and horses, but besides that there is nothing that keeps you from getting out for some fishing, cycling, hillwalking, skiing, snow-boarding, quadbiking, whitewater canoeing or microlighting.

If you've lost your heart there, you may even be able to return more than once a year.

Here is how:

Housesitter needed near Edinburgh.

A housesitter is needed near Edinburgh for various time periods, but at least one week, to guard a comfortable home located about 10 miles east of Edinburgh.

They are looking for at least one but preferably two people. Whether they're friends, a couple or married.

The house comes with two dogs, one horse and one pony, and a large garden and stables.

Use of a car is possible, as it is close to Edinburgh and only 10 minutes from the hills, the beach, and several golf courses.

Being regularly available for housesitting would even be better as that allows the owners to get away more often. But one off's are fine as well.

The house is on the edge of a small town in a peaceful but not isolated location.

The dogs run around the garden and don't need to be walked.

Horses need to be mucked out daily, fed three times a day and stabled at night.
